Christmas is coming up as you know and I want to get my mom a good foot massager because well feet gross me out and no one else will rub her feet. She is a little overweight and works all day on her feet and come home and works. I would love to buy her something that will massage her feet and really help. We got her one before but it didn’t work ): and then it broke. Do you know of a inexpensive foot massager that is great and would help her feel some relief with her feet? Something that will make her feel like she got her feet massaged at a professionals and not like she got off of a tickle machine.
Rub Massagers
Having something that just vibrates on the feet does not interest me. It’s the rubbing and kneading action that makes a foot massage great. For times when no volunteer is available, I was wondering if any company has invented a shiatsu type of foot massager.
What are your recommendations for an individual who is in her 50s and is experiencing foot pain associated with aging? She’s been to a doctor, but he has only given her pain relievers and told her that it is something she’ll have to live with. Do you know of any foot rubs, creams, massagers, or foot baths that have helped you or someone you know with foot pain? (Shoe insoles or different shoes do NOT help her; her feet will hurt even if she has been off of them almost all day.) Are there also any dietary changes that she could make to help naturally reduce the discomfort? Your help or any information that you have would be greatly appreciated. I’ve tried asking in many other sections, but haven’t gotten much information.
My back pain is getting so bad it is disrupting my entire life and I am way to young for this, I have pain medication and such, but all of that does no good after a while, plus who wants to live on that stuff forever, these knots hurt so bad to be massaged when I do get them rubbed out it feels like yellow jackets are stinging me over and over, I went for a professional massage and I was crying through the whole thing, she felt them all and she was barely rubbing them hardly at all anyway, I wake up crying, almost every morning, I haven’t slept in my bed in over 5 month’s, I bought a chair from pier 1 so that I can sleep at 120* degrees and then I’m ok, but that cause other problems. So when I can reach one of these knots like I did yesterday that was so painful, I have a hand held massager and I work it into the knot it hurts like hell but I keep twisting it and just working it out (crying so hard in the meantime) after I couldn’t take it anymore, I went in the bathroom and looked at it and was rubbing it because it was all red and hot and then it started filling up with liquod (my whole lower back) not a lot but the whole area I was working on. And it was so red and hot and yeah I guess swollen, well then I just took some ibprofen and put some ice on it (indirectly) but I mean this was just one knot, I have about 20-25 of these up and down my spine all over my back I have to keep my pain meds which I’m now on 12 methadone a day I have to set my alarm about 1/2 hour before I get up for the day to take my first dose. I can’t even believe I’m taking such medication this strong and the bad thing is-is it’s not even strong enough I mean the pain is so bad, I’ve had the MRI that’s how this started with a couple bulging disk c-4 c-7 and some degenerated disk’s these are all just due to bad years of cheerleading falls and gymnastics and such but then these crazy knot things came just in the last year and the research I’ve been doing has lead me to "Calcium Deposits" does anyone know anythig about this? Anyway I’m sorry this is so long, if your one of my friends/contacts you know I write long questions and well answers, please if anyone has any suggestios I am all ears please I am begging a doctor, chiropractor, physical therapist, anyone see’s this or someone who can help please? I’m running out of places to look here, thank you so much in advance, you guys who are my contacts/friends no that I write long questions/answers so thank you for taking the time to read this have a good nigt best wishes Elizabeth ;-D

you guys are so sweet but honestly,I have no problem doing yoga, and I stretch, and I know how to breathe from my stomach very well, I actually meditate about 45-60 minutes a day, and I’m very flexible, I can still sit in the splits 3-ways and still if my back wasn’t so messed up probably do a few back hand springs in a row,, Stress has nothing to do with this (I promise) that’s what’s so mind boggling, And Mariyn your right yoga is great and I love it to, and I miss it so much this back thing came on all of a sudden about a yr ago with two big ones and never went away since then, I was volunteering at my church and I got the vacuum part, the big vacuum was broke so I had to use the small one and it’s a very big church, so?
I am looking for the best remedy for my best friend who is a hairstylist. She has consistent pain in the muscle that connects the neck and shoulders. She already uses a heat pad and handheld manual massagers and has been to the chiropractor. I am getting her a topical muscle rub to use, but I was looking for maybe an electric massager of some sort (not handheld). I looked on Amazon but there are mixed reviews. Can anyone give a recommendation?

I have tried warm baths hot showers my boyfriend rubbing it a back massager thing and nothing is help. It’s all in My lower back all the way across, is this normal?
If yes anyone know anything to try to help the pain?
I was at Bed Bath and Beyond, and my husband and I had been up running errands ALL day. At the time I was 28 weeks along and TIRED! They had one of those displays with all the chair back massagers. So I was sitting in one of the chairs and I had it rubbing my back. A man walked by, asked if I am pregnant and then told me that I am not supposed to be sitting in those chairs. Is that true? Does it cause any harm to the baby? Or myself?
